Hello, Miss Marsala!
As we bid farewell to our sweet Radiant Orchid (that was SO last year!), we eagerly welcome the new Pantone Color of the Year!
Hello Miss ‘Marsala’, Pantone #18438. At first glance, Marsala may appear hard, but she is quite the reverse. She is loaded with natural earthiness and is sweet, dark and full of flavor.
Yes, this is sounding a lot like my favorite cup of java, but actually her tasteful hue reminds me of a robust wine kissed by the sun.
Marsala made frequent appearances on many Spring 2015 runways, making bold but elegant statements. This full-bodied beauty is highly versatile, can stand along or blend nicely with others. Her raisin color plays nicely with yellows, crèmes, olives and even bold blues. Check out of the color combos shared on the Pantone website:
